Who we are, on paper
Global Reboot is a registered NPO created and supported by kind people to help humans, animals and all of creation thrive during these exciting times of change.
Unpacking the alphabet soup
Are we an NGO? NPC? NPO? PBO? Yes — all of the above.
- NGO
- Non-Governmental Organisation — an umbrella term used to refer to any not-for-profit entity, whatever legal form it takes.
- NPC
- Non-Profit Company — the legal form for a company that does not make profit. A type of NGO that chose the NPC legal form.
- NPO
- Non-Profit Organisation — the status of being a credible not-for-profit entity, applied for and recognised as such.
- PBO
- Public Benefit Organisation — the status of being exempt from income tax, applied for and recognised as such.
Where we stand
Global Reboot is a non-profit organisation that helps people. It is registered with the CIPC as an NPC and with the DSD as an NPO. It has been granted PBO income tax exemption status — meaning it can receive tax-deductible donations.
We issue tax receipts for donations made towards education, environmental conservation and animal care. Donations for cultural or arts purposes are not eligible for tax receipts but are exempt from donations tax. Global Reboot will provide a Section 18A certificate to donors for their tax submissions — please notify our office once you've donated and we'll email your certificate. Monthly donors receive theirs once per year.
Time to stand together and make our world whole again — in peace.
